SINGAPORE : More people are turning to Chinese herbs as a preventive measure against the effects of the haze.

This is according to some Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners Channel NewsAsia spoke to.

They said sales of herbs have soared by nearly 40 per cent over the past two days.

They have also seen an increase in patients by about 20 per cent.

This is due to people suffering from dry eyes and sore throats.

The TCM practitioners also said herbs such as chrysanthemums can help with dry eyes, while licorice can soothe sore throats. - CNA/ms
